Fans of anthropomorphic felt-covered fun and wildly flailing green arms rejoice! Today, Disney released Muppets Most Wanted on Blu-ray and DVD, and to celebrate the ability to watch the Muppets reenacting Face/Off in the comfort of your own home, they granted me an audience with His Swampiness himself, Kermit the Frog! While I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Kermit, Ms. Piggy, Ricky Gervais and others when the film came out, I leaped at the chance for a one-on-one chat with the most famous frog in show business.

In our wide-ranging conversation, we talked about what’s next for the Muppets, how advances in filmmaking technology have proven to be something of a double-edged sword, and who apart from Rocket Raccoon he would invite to join the Muppets. Last, but not least, since The Muppets and Marvel are now under the same Mickey Mouse-shaped umbrella, I wondered whether Kermit had ever tried to lift Thor’s mighty mallet Mjölnir. Fortunately, the Asgardian god of Thunder loaned me his mythical maul, so I put Kermit to the test to see if he was worthy of assuming the mantle of Throg. You remember Throg, right?
