Exclusive: Go on a Play Date in This NEIGHBORS Deleted Scene

Neighbors is out next week on DVD and Blu-ray, and we’ve got an exclusive deleted scene from the Nicholas Stoller comedy.

For those of you who missed the movie this summer, Neighbors stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as Mac and Kelly, married 30-somethings with a kid, who try to play it cool when a frat moves in next door in their sleepy suburban neighborhood. At first, they’re charmed by the frat’s alpha male partying leader, Teddy (Zac Efron), but one too many nights of loud partying and a screaming baby, and it becomes a battle of wits and wills between the bros and the couple.

You know what? It was actually pretty damned good. Efron is just this side of a sociopath as a frat boy who only knows partying, and Byrne gets a rare chance to be more than just “the wife” in the comedy, getting as gross, messed-up, petty, and weird as Rogen’s Mac when the couple goes to war with the frat.

You can see a little of that in this deleted scene, “Play Date.” In it, Mac and Kelly accept an invite to one of the most dreaded of all social adventures for young married types: forced socialization with someone else’s kid. Keep an eye out for Upright Citizens Brigade alum Brian Huskey, here playing Mac’s boss.

Neighbors will be in DVD and Blu-ray on September 23.
