Get ready to fall in love with the creepily cute creatures from LAIKA’s next stop-motion feature, The Boxtrolls. These little underground dwellers, along with their adopted human friend Eggs (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), are the heart and soul of the spectacular upcoming film from the stop-motion Portland powerhouse. Based on Alan Snow’s novel Here Be Monsters!, The Boxtrolls tells the story of an orphan boy named Eggs who was raised by trash-collecting little trolls who, fittingly, wear abandoned boxes. When the Boxtrolls start getting hunted down by Archibald Snatcher (Ben Kingsley), an oversized exterminator, Eggs has to find a way to help his misunderstood family.

In this exclusive featurette from Focus Features, “Trolls Right off the Tongue,” we hear from LAIKA CEO and lead animator Travis Knight, directors Anthony Stacchi and Graham Annable, and the supremely talented voice actors Dee Bradley Baker (Phineas and Ferb, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Batman: Arkham City) and Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop, X-Men, Star Wars Rebels) about crafting the distinct, expressive voices of the Boxtrolls.
