Exclusive: DC Comics’ INJUSTICE YEAR THREE Chapter 18 Preview

Back in 2013, the release of Injustice: Gods Among Us sent a ripple through our office. The DC Comics-based brawler launched a series of epic rivalries, frantic fights, and massive melees among our staff from which we are only now beginning to recover. One of the best parts of the fighting game turned out to be its campaign mode, which explained why in a dark corner of the DC Multiverse in which many of the mightiest heroes and villains were slugging it out. As it turns out, the Joker destroyed Metropolis with a nuclear weapon in an alternate reality and tricked Superman into killing Lois Lane and their unborn son. As a result, Superman lost his damn mind, killing the Joker, and creating a fascist new world order where he was judge, jury, and executioner. Naturally, Batman had to start up a resistance force, which lead to some seriously sweet smackdowns.

That story has been continued by the fine folks at DC Comics in the form of their Injustice digital-first comic book series. Currently, we find ourselves in the midst of Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Three, and things have gone from bad to worse now that John Constantine is in the mix. Before you download chapter 18 tomorrow, take an exclusive sneak peek at what’s coming your way when Constantine summons the demon Trigon, forcing Superman and Wonder Woman to battle the enraged entity.
