In the wake of Convergence, there’s a new Batman in town and his name is Jim Gordon. Of course, this new Batman looks more like one of the mechs from Tiger & Bunny than the Dark Knight we know and love, but sometimes change is a good thing. One thing never changes though, and that is the pure and simple fact that the Batman needs a Batmobile. Well, in our exclusive preview of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Batman #42, we see Jim Gordon’s sweet new whip, which seems to take a page out of Imperator Furiosa’s playbook. By which I mean, it’s more of a War Rig than a straightforward Batmobile. Either way, though, it looks decidedly badass. Of course, that excitement is bound to be shortlived, particularly in light of the grim discovery that Gordon made in the morgue last issue…

DC Comics’ Batman #42 is available on Wednesday, July 8.
