Exclusive: Check Out Artist Jeff Victor’s Adorable Evolution of HARLEY QUINN

Check out the cosplay at any comic book convention, and it’s obvious that few characters of the DC Universe have impacted fandom in quite the same way as Harley Quinn. In the twenty-two years since she first appeared on Batman: The Animated Series (for which she was created by writer Paul Dini and artist Bruce Timm, and voiced by actress Arleen Sorkin), the former Dr. Harleen Francis Quinzel has forever stolen our hearts with her inimitable mix of humor, madness, joie de vrie, and dogged belief in the transformative power of love. Whether or not one feels that the object of her desire, the Joker, actually deserves her unwavering devotion is another story. But there’s no denying Harley’s become almost as essential a part of the Batman mythos as the Clown Prince of Crime himself. Artist Jeff Victor agrees. Which is why for the latest piece in his “Evolution” series — in which he charts the growth of our favorite pop culture icons — he’s chosen to focus on our beloved Ms. Quinn. Victor has kindly granted us permission to debut his Harley Quinn Evolution, which you can see below in all its red-white-and-black glory. From The Animated Series to director David Ayer’s upcoming Suicide Squad (in which she’ll make her live-action debut, played by Margot Robbie), with stops in between for Batman comics and video games, the artist has captured all of her key looks. He’s even tossed in her beloved pet hyenas (or “babies”) as a bonus!

Note: Be sure to visit Jeff Victor’s web store, where you can order prints of each of his Evolution pieces! (He tells us his Harley Quinn print will be available there soon.)
