Exclusive: Charlie Cox and the Cast of Netflix’s DAREDEVIL on Getting “The Man Without Fear” Right on TV

While most of Marvel’s costumed champions have enjoyed definitive screen incarnations over the years, The Man Without Fear has somehow eluded the grasp of TV and filmmakers — until now. Netflix’s thirteen-episode first season of Daredevil arrived on the on-demand network on April 10, 2015. Nerdist’s Joe McCabe attended the show’s red-carpet premiere in Los Angeles, where he spoke with the cast, including Charlie Cox as crusading attorney/costumed crimefighter Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio as underworld lord Wilson Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple/Night Nurse, and Toby Leonard Moore as Fisk’s right-hand man Wesley. The series also stars Scott Glenn as Stick and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna, along with Bob Gunton and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

Based on the character created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett who first appeared in 1964, Daredevil is executive produced by show creator Drew Goddard, showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, and Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb. The first of Marvel’s Netflix series, Daredevil will cross over with Netflix’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to form the superteam series The Defenders.
