Hopefully all you Sleepyheads out there have been following BOOM! Studios‘ four-part Sleepy Hollow mini-series from writer Marguerite Bennett (Butterfly, Batman: Joker’s Daughter), artist Jorge Coelho ( Polarity), and cover artist Phil Noto (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) featuring stories set in the world of the popular Fox television series.

In this series so far, The first two issues were self-contained one-shots set within the world of Sleepy Hollow, but in the third issue, a local murder in town brings Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills to the local Freemason Lodge where a mysterious grandfather clock begins to tick, transporting Ichabod into a fantasy world that seems to give him his deepest desires by reuniting his with his family. However the dream rapidly becomes a nightmare, and it’s up to Leftenant Abbie Mills to pull Ichabod out of this hellish reality.

Here’s the official synopsis for issue #4:

“With the true origins of the clock revealed, Ichabod and Abbie must find a way to destroy the infernal machine before it damns them, and perhaps all of Earth, to an eternity of hell… Plus, the last of Noelle Stevenson’s (Lumberjanes) short stories!”
