Even CAPTAIN AMERICA Chris Evans Isn’t Immune From JIMMY KIMMEL’s “Mean Tweets”

How dark and depraved can the World Wide Web be? What lows can humanity reach when given the anonymity of a Twitter account and an egg avatar? So low that some how, some way, there are people that would have something negative to say about a person as delightful as Olivia Wilde. It can get so bad that a person out there would insult a gentleman like Ryan Gosling. The internet can become awful enough that it can produce a person that would besmirch the name of Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

That’s right, my friends, be afraid, be very afraid, because it’s time for the newest edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s “Mean Tweets.”

This latest segment might be the most star-studded ever, with Bryan Cranston, Russell Crowe, Melissa McCarthy, Keifer Sutherland, Jane Lynch, and Judd Apatow making up just a few of the many celebs that had a good enough sense of humor to publicly read some nasty tweets directed at them. (Though we aren’t quite sure that one at Norman Reedus read was “mean,” but it definitely was “nasty.”)

Seriously, as funny as these segments are (and in fairness, we do kinda see the whole “Bryan Cranston looks like Jim Carrey doing an impression of Matthew McConaughey” thing), be nice. Be nice to everyone–strangers, friends, celebs.

Because what kind of world are we creating on the web when we can’t just insult Nickelback without dragging Wanda Sykes into it.

Which one of these tweets was the meanest? Politely tell us in the comments.
