The official U.S. trailer for A24’s upcoming science fiction thriller Under the Skin, is finally here. Punctuated by ominous imagery, a chilling score, and accolades from critics, the trailer is equal parts enticing and unnerving. Check it out.

Here’s what we know so far about Under the Skin: It’s directed by Brian Glazer (Sexy Beast, Birth) and adapted from Michael Faber’s novel of the same name. It stars Scarlett Johansson, an otherworldly presence in her own right, as a succubus-esque alien feeding off unsuspecting humans. Under the Skin has already screened at Telluride, the Venice Film Festival, and TIFF to rave reviews. And though we’ve seen a few other clips before, now we have a better idea of what we’re dealing with: something finally, hopefully unique.

Under the Skin opens in limited release in Los Angeles and New York on April 4th, and will be released nationwide on April 11th.
