Epic New ATTACK ON TITAN Game Footage Surfaces

Koei Tecmo has updated their page with some flattering new images of their upcoming Attack on Titan title, which is set to release next year on the PS4/3/Vita. The slew of gameplay clips and screenshots show off Eren Yeager and friends taking on various Titans.

There’s yet to be a game that accurately depicts the high-octane action from the the manga, so it’s pleasing to see that a lot of the new clips and screenshots look promising.  At the very least, Koei Tecmo is getting the look and style right, it’ll be hard to judge the gameplay until we get our hands on the game. So for now, take a gander at some of the images and footage below.

I’m impressed by how smooth flying around using the 3D Maneuver gear looks. Replicating the blistering speed of the navigation seen in the anime will go a long way towards making this an exciting title. My only concern is with the Titans themselves. Despite some of them being slow and a bit goofy looking, they are supposed to be extremely dangerous, and previous attempts to bring this manga to life in video game form just haven’t delivered the right level of peril when it comes to these hulking creatures. It does look like there’s blood, so it might be as intense as the source material.

The clip below presumably shows how the combat will look, and again, includes the screen being covered with blood when cutting the nape of the Titan’s neck.

What do you think about these screenshots? Does this make you even more excited for this game? Let us know in the comments below.
