ATTACK ON TITAN Video Game Gets High-Flying New Trailer

Suit up with your 3-D Maneuver Gear and head to Wall Maria, because the Titans are coming! KOEI Tecmo Europe released the second trailer for the Attack on Titan video game and it looks absolutely breathtaking. We’re certain that almost everyone would agree that part of the appeal of Attack on Titan is imagining yourself fighting alongside the Survey Corps and judging from the teaser, it will become a gaming reality.

In the very short 1 minute and 45 second teaser (36 seconds of which are taken up by title cards), we’re treated to what one would expect in the first AOT game. The gameplay looks to be set both during and soon after the Colossal Titan’s super kick sent Wall Rose crumbling in the Trost District. The footage lacks any in-game HUD, fuel (we imagine there has to be exhaustible blades and gas for the 3DMG), or maps so it’s hard to gauge what the final product for the PS4 will look like.

Whatever the end result of the game is, it’ll likely be better than it’s predecessors, especially considering the spike in popularity of the manga and the anime. It would stand to reason that the game developers would want to get as much right as they possibly could. Speaking personally, I know the Nerdist team can’t wait to become Titan-slaying powerhouses and fulfill our dreams to become sword-wielding spiderpeople (we have weird dreams, OK?). Sadly we’ll still have to wait till its 2016 release.

Attack on Titan comes to PS3, PS4, and PS Vita in 2016.
