Nerdist Special Reports

Eliza Dushku and Ivana Milicevic Talk BANSHEE, Badass Ladies, and Joss Whedon at NYCC

If there’s one thing we love here at Nerdist, it’s badass women. And we love badass women in sci-fi, action, horror, and other genre projects even more. That’s why when Banshee‘s Ivana Miličević and our longtime lady crush Eliza Dushku dropped by our NYCC stage, we were so thrilled to be able to pick their brains about roles for women in genre.

Of course, that’s not all we chatted about. With Banshee‘s fourth and final season coming up, our trusty NYCC moderator Dan Casey found out more about what’s in store for Carrie Hopewell (Miličević), how Dushku joined the cast, and their experiences working with the one and only Joss Whedon. That’s right, this is a mini-Buffy reunion kinda sorta! (Ok, not really since Faith and Riley’s frustratingly cool new wife Samantha never met, but we’ll take what we can get.)

Banshee season four premieres January 29, 2016.
