Even if you’ve grown accustomed to the teaser culture of modern entertainment, something about an earlier post from EA’s Star Wars account is sure make the anticipation-stings hurt a little more than usual. The publisher posted a short clip on their Star Wars twitter account, showing off what appears to be dogfighting game mode for Star Wars Battlefront. Called Fighter Squadron, it looks so good that it could easily pass as a standalone game altogether. Take a look at the tweet and attached video below:

There were many concerns about the depth of Star Wars Battlefrontâall triggered by DICE’s transparency on the game lacking a single player campaign. But I guess we can put some of these concerns to rest, as this Fighter Squadron gameplay will open up an entire new aspect of the game. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait all the way until Wednesday, August 5, at 12:30 PDT, before this is officially revealed at EA’s Gamescom press conference. That seems like an eternity!
Are you pumped to find out more about this Fighter Squadron mode? Do you plan on making this your main game type when Star Wars Battlefront hits on November 17? Barrel roll on down to the comments with your thoughts!
