Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is by anyone’s math one of the busiest actors in Hollywood. However, Johnson’s jam-packed schedule hasn’t stopped him from adding a new television series to his plate. Johnson will soon join forces with the producers of American Ninja Warrior for a brand new competition series called The Titan Games for NBC.
Via Entertainment Weekly, Johnson and A. Smith & Co. Productions will co-produce The Titan Games, which will stand out from other competition shows by taking regular people and throwing them into “the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in epic head-to-head challenges designed to test mind, body, and heart.â Another important aspect of this series is that the contestants will go up against the six reigning Titans in a bid to take their place. It sounds like a particularly dominant player could manage to stick around on the show for quite a while.
The Titan Games’ producers have already started the selection process for players, and unveiled the show’s official site. Anyone with the desire to “reach their potential for greatness” is invited to compete.
This isn’t Johnson’s first brush with reality TV competitions. Back in 2013, Johnson hosted a similar show called The Hero for TNT. Somehow, Johnson will juggle his new series with Ballers on HBO, the upcoming Fast and the Furious spinoff film, and several other action projects as well.
