Coming up this week on the Nerdist Podcast Network… we have a lot, but EXACTLY who’ll be on and what we’ll offer are more unsettled than usual. But what’s mine is yours (within reason, that is), so I’ll tell you what I know, which is not much. As always, it’s all subject to change, but as of right now:
Duncan Jones is the director of the upcoming Warcraft movie (you’ll see it in your local multiplex on June 10th), and he will be on the Nerdist Podcast Tuesday to talk about it and a lot more. Yes, he talks about the passing of his dad (David Bowie, in case you aren’t aware), and about patience in filmmaking and his own pending fatherhood, but also about baby horror movies, video games, and an amazing coincidence that provides a unique bond between himself and Chris.
And there will, as always, be two editions of The Jonah Keri Podcast, one of them just happening to feature our own Puck Soup hosts, Greg Wyshynski and Dave Lozo, and this would be a good time, since I did not have an opportunity to do so earlier in the week, to congratulate Wyshynski on the best Twitter burn I’ve seen in years, roasting Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis when Ted took a shot at Greg’s employer for… well, read about it here. Or here. Mic dropped. Lozo, by the way, has been on fire on Twitter himself with “transcriptions” of Vin Scully talking about things that Vin Scully didn’t talk about, in a nearly letter-perfect appropriation of Vin’s style. Follow him, too. Anyway, Jonah talks hockey, and hockey media coverage, with them, and even if you don’t like hockey… well, you know from Puck Soup that they’re always a good listen.
The second episode of The Jonah Keri Podcast will be an interview with MSNBC reporter Irin Carmon, co-author of The Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the book that came from the Tumblr that examined the life and impact of the Supreme Court Justice like no other biography you’ll see, which you might gather from the title.
Plus lots more we are not at liberty to divulge. (That’s another way of saying we don’t know.) But if you go to the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and Facebook page, and definitely if you subscribe, you will know what’s coming. Let’s find out together, shall we?
