For the past few years, Drake memes have become part of internet culture. Everyone seems to get a kick out of taking the musician’s face, body, or whatever and putting it in vicarious situations all to get a laugh. It seems, however, that there is one person who does not take kindly to this phenomenon: DRAKE.

Drake was both host and musical guest for the May 14th edition of Saturday Night Live, and he used his monologue to address the issue. Like many hosts before him, he vented his frustrations in the only way he knew how: through song. In “More than Just a Meme,” Drake expressed how he wanted to be known as a person, and not just a tool to be used in Photoshop. As the ballad played, we got to see some highlights of the Drake/meme craze, such as him sitting atop the Seinfeld diner, and his face plastered on Flo from Progressive’s body. He even tried to get the crowd to understand how it feels, as memes were put up around unsuspecting audience members (one had the “I’m not going to realize I’m on camera until the VERY last second” look going for him).

Regardless of how Drake feels, I am pretty sure even a guest appearance by “Rihanna” is not going to stop the internet from using his meme-tastic face.
