Dontcha Know How Great FARGO’s Gonna Be? These 4 New Videos Should Do It

Whether you’ve seen the Coen Brothers’ film with the same name or not, there’s little one can do to assert that the FX miniseries Fargo is going to be anything short of amazing. Between having a cast worth getting excited for — Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Bob Odenkirk, Glenn Howerton, Allison Tolman, Kate Walsh, Adam Goldberg, Oliver Platt, and Colin Hanks (just to name a few) — and a more than intriguing premise, we feel confident in declaring that this one’s going to be a favorite of many. Why, just look at these 4 new videos about the series and try to believe otherwise. It’s not a remake of the movie, dagnabbit!

First up, let’s take a look at the show’s cast:

Admit it: whenever Freeman talks in that sweet, sweet Minnesotan accent, your pulse quickens with a tingle of excitement. It’s OK: heck, it’s probably normal.

Next up? The show’s philosophy (or, at least, Thornton’s Lorne Malvo) is dissected:

Rules? Where we’re going we don’t need rules — just a pair of metaphorical balls to help poor Lester Nygaard (Freeman) stand up to the world.

After that comes, naturally, the story:

Some kinda organized crime thing? A highly specific ransom? Rogue feet in toasters? Somethin’ mighty fishy’s going on in Fargo.

Lastly, there’s this “inside Fargo” clip, which details how this show will expand the Fargo universe:

It’s self-explanatory, really.

Who else is looking forward to Fargo when it premieres Tuesday, April 15th on FX? Tell us about it in the comments why dontcha?

I normally love everything Martin Freeman does but I don’t know if I can accept a rather exaggerated Minnesota/midwest accent coming from him since I’ve heard is normal accent so much before this. Being from South Dakota, I feel like things Fargo make us look so simple or slow. Does anyone from outside of the Midwest think the same?

Anything with Martin Freeman is pure gold….not to mention the rest of this stellar cast! I cannot wait until April 15th…and that’s not usually a date I look forward to!
