We all have our own “happy place.” For some it’s an exotic beach, others have a favorite reading chair, while some are at peace riding a roller coaster. This very excited, very special dog is at her happiest playing in a huge pile of leaves. Watching her jump through them is turning into our happy place.
Stella, a Labrador from Maine that we learned about at Mashable, has bionic knees from bilateral TPLO surgery. That doesn’t slow her down from engaging in her favorite activity every autumn; when she sees foliage she falls head over paws for it.

Stella’s owners have been sharing videos of her partaking in her favorite pastime since 2014, and she is so full of doggo delight in every one we feel bad that Stella has to wait for the leaves to fall off the trees. Fortunately her wonderful Instagram page shows Stella enjoys the snow and the sea, too.

If you think watching these videos makes you want to find the nearest pile o’ leaves to jump into, that’s nothing compared to what it’s like seeing Stella’s enthusiasm in person, as Stella’s pupper friend found out.
Think it’s impossible for you to love Stella anymore than you already do? Wrong, because in addition to her love of leaves she’s also the famous “dog in the bubble.”
These days all of us can use more happy places, we just didn’t expect to find such a good one in a pile of leaves.
