In keeping with Steven Moffat’s assertion that Series 7 (or at least the first five episodes) of Doctor Who is going to be like five blockbuster films, the Beeb has created five very awesome movie posters for each episode. We’ve already seen the above, for “Asylum of the Daleks,” but now we get one for the other four.
Episode two, which will air on September 8th, is “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship,” and looks to do what it says on the tin. Surely there will be something more to it, but if there isn’t, at least the Doctor looks happy.
On Sept 15th, we get Toby Whithouse’s “A Town Called Mercy,” which I already confess is the one I’m looking forward to most. Just look at that poster! That is a movie I’d go see.
I have no idea what “The Power of Three” will be about, other than the main characters. Guess we’ll have to wait until September 22nd to find out for sure. If the poster’s any indication, it’s going to take place in a mid-90s math computer game.
And nearly as soon as it began, we’ll get the Pond finale, “The Angels Take Manhattan” on Sept 29th. It’s Weeping Angels, it’s New York City, it’s a sad farewell to Amy and Rory – it’s a Doctor Who mid-series ending.
Five episodes doesn’t seem like many, and in truth it isn’t that many. But. BUT! We get a new companion at Christmas, and then eight more new episodes in 2013, leading up to the 50th Anniversary extravaganza! Just a little more waiting, my lovelies. Just a bit more.

“shut up and take my money!”
They need to sell these as actual posters, I would buy ALL OF THEM.
