I love it. The Tardis is particularly cool between the ‘dimentionally transcendental’ and the ‘chameleon circuit’, I’m not sure what to think of these MD’s!

  2. Rory Pond says:

    “Dimentionally” transcendental?

Actually, this is a wonderful infographic, all nitpicky bits aside. Any Doctor Who content is better than nothing at all!

(Although I must agree with Michael Weinstein about the lack of any mention of the Master being a serious offense. Get the TCE!)

  3. William Roentgen says:

Patrick Troughton’s Doctor played a soprano recorder, not a flute. Very different woodwinds.

  4. Jen says:

    @Sean

It is entirely possible to write Gallifrey back in. That time lock + explodey Gallifrey could be in only a handful of dimensions if not just one. Who is to say a different dimension Gallifrey could not have broken the cycle of war and just hasn’t reared its head in the dimension the Doctor is currently stuck in? Maybe some Timelords slipped out before the lock was set in place that the Doctor doesn’t know about. ‘Tis the magic of DW and a lot of non-cannon that lets writers get away with fun story goodies like bringing back the Timelords.

  5. Sean says:

    Nerd fight 🙂
Gallifrey is destroyed the time lock exist to stop the Time Lords from preventing their fate. This of course doesn’t stop the Time Lords from trying in the hours before their destruction to break the time lock and skip over their destruction, which is what occurred in The End of Time. So in short Gallifrey/Time Lords dead, unless Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey then didn’t die.

  6. Lucia says:

umm… that really was his granddaughter for the first doctor. i think the novels that were written kinda confuses people.

  7. Michael Weinstein says:

Whaaa??? No mention of the Master at all? Seriously? I mean, at least the Rani got her name in here. Seriously, sod all for the Master?

  8. It’s all great, by me, even with some slightly off descriptions, I don’t mind. BUT, Gallifrey is NOT destroyed. Only stuck in a timelock, set by the Doctor to avoid it’s total destruction. Any writer worth his salt can write Gallifrey and the Time Lords out of there if they want to. I’m waiting… ;-D

  9. D’oh! I did double post! And in that second post I couldn’t even be bothered to spell words correctly or use proper capitalization! D’oh!!!!!

  10. Sorry if this ends up being a double post, but I htink i forgot to hit “submit” the first time.

Anyway, I just thought I’d share that I wrote a post, 11 Ways to Live Like The Doctor, that I thought you’d enjoy: http://thatneilguy.blogspot.com/2011/01/11-ways-to-live-like-doctor-who.html

  11. You guys might enjoy reading my post, 11 Ways to Live Like The Doctor http://thatneilguy.blogspot.com/2011/01/11-ways-to-live-like-doctor-who.html

  12. Tired Canadian says:

Me say nothing because this is a trap !!

  13. Scott says:

Didn’t the Seventh Doctor only encounter the Rani once? The Sixth had the first run-in with her. And I’m pretty sure the Fourth Doctor always had jelly babies, not just often.

It’s strange that I come to this site hoping for more Dr Who stuff than anything else, isn’t it?

  14. Sheldon Witt says:

    @CorasMama

Thanks a lot! I’ll check it all out.

  15. Lindsay F says:

So just so the Doctor Who fans know – they are selling an awesome weeping angels shirt over at RIPT apparel today (til midnight central time).

  16. SDGlyph says:

*koff* recorder *koff* Praxis range *koff*
Like the caricatures though; they capture the personalities pretty well. 🙂

  17. CorasMama says:

    Sheldon –

If you start with the new series, you don’t really need to have watched the old series, as there is plenty of exposition for newer fans. I recommend also watching Torchwood. The order to watch the new who and torchwood is here: http://garysaid.com/torchwood-and-doctor-who-time-line/

  18. Imski says:

I hate revisionist fans, who put quotation marks around granddaughter when they talk about Susan.

The Doctor had a wife, he had kids, they had a daughter, deal with it.

  19. Sheldon Witt says:

Man! I wanna start watching this show but I don’t know whee to start..
Should I track down the old stuff before starting the new show?
Does it matter either way as far as story goes?

    What do you think?

  20. Sandra says:

…and now I know all there is to know about the Doctor

  21. The Head Geek says:

The fourth doctor is perfect! LOL

He did a really good job on that!
