DOCTOR WHO Christmas Special in Theaters, COLONY Trailer, and More TV News

Thanksgiving is almost here, so that means it’s definitely time to think about the holidays, right? Right. Read today’s TV-Cap to find out how to see the Doctor Who Christmas special on the big screen, watch a new promo for the Arrow-verse crossover, get the premiere date and trailer for season two of Colony, and more.

Not So Mysterio. Fathom Events is making it easy to watch “The Return of Doctor Mysterio,” a.k.a. Doctor Who’s 2016 Christmas special. They’ll be screening the episode on December 27 and 29 in 400 theaters around the United States. You can scoop up your tickets from Fathom. [Nerdist]

Best Team-Up! In case you’ve missed the news, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl are coming together in a four night crossover beginning on November 28. To which I say, “Yay!” A new promo for the event gives us our first look at the aliens our heroes will be facing: meet the Dominators! [CBR]

Kid Flash. Keiynan Lonsdale briefly got to be Kid Flash when Barry brought about the Flashpoint timeline in The Flash, but in my opinion, it wasn’t long enough. Sydney talked to Lonsdale on set about what Wally wants and what he’s looking for, especially in regards to being speedy. Read the interview right this way.

Syfy Meets Sci-Fi. Syfy’s been delivering more sci-fi content in recent years, and they’re going right to the heart of the genre by adapting one of the most iconic sci-fi novels ever: Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. They’re working with Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions to turn the book into a TV series. The series is currently in the “in development” category. We’ll update you when/if that changes. [The Hollywood Reporter]

What’s Taboo? FX’s eight episode series Taboo, starring and co-created by Tom Hardy, has a premiere date. The series about a man who inherits his father’s shipping empire and has to wrestle with the colored legacy that comes with said empire will debut on January 10. [TVLine, Image: FX]

Creative Competition. The Science Channel is going to bring back MythBusters with new hosts, and they’re finding them through MythBusters: The Search. That reality competition will be hosted by someone you all know: Nerdist’s very own Kyle Hill. And finally, we have our first look at what The Search will bring to the table. Watch the trailer here at Nerdist.

It’s About Survival. The world will keep taking twists and turns in season two of USA Network’s Colony. People are fighting to survive, and we’ll see the next chapter when the drama returns on January 12. The above tease is all about intensity and fear. [Deadline]

Decades of the Doctor. November 19 will bring the airing of the new animation of the Doctor Who episode “The Power of the Daleks.” Starring the First Doctor, William Hartnell, the episode has been restored, so to speak. Anneke Wills was part of it, too; she played the Doctor’s companion Polly. She spoke to Kyle A. about making the episode, the animation, and more. Read the interview here at Nerdist.

Win Music. You’ve heard about the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience. You’re dying to go. But what if you could win a VIP trip to the Los Angeles performance in March 2017? That’s a thing you can enter to do here. When you enter the sweepstakes, you can also vote for your favorite scenes from the HBO series to help decide what pieces of music will be included in the concert. [Image: Live Nation]

Recaps All Over. How did you spend your Tuesday evening? We watched some TV and have recaps for The Flash, Scream Queens, and Channel Zero: Candle Cove. Enjoy!
