Disney-Princess Inspired Aprons for All Your Kitchen Cosplay Needs

Why cook in a regular apron when you could cook and cosplay at the same time? Geeky cosplay aprons seem to have hit the market out of nowhere, and I applaud the mind who first came up with the idea of combining being a chef and wearing a costume. Putting on an apron that makes me look like Belle from Beauty and the Beast could actually be the nudge I need to get into the kitchen and cook more meals instead of ordering in.

Etsy seller Lovers Dovers has not one, but two Belle apron options — the blue Provincial dress and the yellow ball gown, thank you very much — as well as styles inspired by other Disney princesses.

Lover Dovers designs and sews all the aprons with the help of a couple of assistants. She’s been sewing since she was five-years-old and earned a degree in fashion design. I adore her apron interpretations of the princess dresses because they’re minimalist but manage capture all the necessary elements and colors. The Snow White apron isn’t an exact replica of the dress the fairest of them all wears, but you know who it represents.

Be sure to flip through the gallery below to see more examples of Lover Dovers’ offerings and then head to Etsy to go shopping. Aprons start at $28.50. I want to encourage friends to buy aprons so we can have a Disney princess/baker cosplay group.
