We’re going to assume that you clicked on this article because, like us, you have a special place in your heart permanently reserved for certain things from the 1990s. And in that space, there’s likely a VIP section for the old-school animated television programming block professionally known as “The Disney Afternoon” and “every goddamned day after grade school” to us. Now, thanks to collectible toy giant Funko, you can carry that love in the physical world with their Disney Afternoon Collection of Mystery Minis!
A recent Funko blog post announced these Disney delights and we’re already counting down the days until November when they’re all released. Each tiny figure of the classic Disney cartoons (DuckTales, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers) are just too perfect and look as if they’ve hopped out of our television screens into the real world. And, as with most of Funko’s collectibles, they’re releasing exclusives at different retailers. Head to GameStop to find the Junior Woodchuck versions of Huey, Dewey, and Louie but try not to think about how weird it must for the actual anthropomorphic woodchucks in that cartoon universe.
Toys “R†Us is slated to begin it, bear ‘n grin it and win it in a minute with their TaleSpin characters, Shere Khan and Louie. Plus, things get a bit more dangerous with a Negaduck exclusive.Â
And head to Hot Topic if you’re a fan of a coin-swimming Scrooge McDuck, Negatron, or the sorceress with really redundant transforming powers, Magica DeSpell.Â
