Dynamite editor Anthony Marques told THR that the company has “received the blessings from all of the creators involved with the films, every step of the way. That includes the writer/creator of John Wick, Derek Kolstad, as well as Thunder Road, Lionsgate, and even Keanu Reeves. After a relatively barebones first outing, John Wick: Chapter 2 opened up an expansive look at the hired assassin underworld through which our title character spent most of his pre-canine-affixed life. Considering the intricacies of the world introduced in the films, there should be no shortage of interesting and imaginative directions for the comic series to take.

John Wick #1 will be released in September.
