Details for THE FLASH SUPERGIRL Musical Crossover and More TV News

Supergirl and The Flash will deliver a shining beacon of happiness to our televisions soon with another crossover, this time with a musical spin. Um, awesome. Read today’s TV-Cap to find out when the crossover is happening, to see a new trailer for the return of Supernatural, to get a look at more Kid Flash, and more.

Singing Out. The Flash and Supergirl musical crossover is happening. I will never tire of typing those words. Can you imagine the adorkableness of Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El combined with song? Oh my stars. Anyway! Entertainment Weekly (EW) has the news from The CW that the crossover will begin on March 20. It will only lightly affect Supergirl and mostly take place on The Flash—which sounds a lot like how the “four” part crossover worked in November. Anyway, The Flash part of the crossover is called “Duet” and EW revealed who will be performing besides Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. One of them? Glee‘s Darren Criss as the Music Meister! Get all the details there. [Nerdist]

Sidekick Ahoy! Vancouver is home of The Flash and Hollywood North Buzz spotted a change to a Central City billboard in the city. It’s now the home of The Flash and Kid Flash. As a reminder, Kid Flash will appear again in January 24’s episode (photo above). This billboard makes it sound like he’ll be around for a while. [CBR, Image: The CW]

Dream Team. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens is coming to Amazon. So, naturally, we’ve tackled some fan-casting. Michael W. shares his picks here at Nerdist.

Full Ick. The fifth and final season of Bates Motel will arrive to A&E on February 20, and Norman and Norma Bates are looking all sorts of uncomfortable in new posters. See more key art at IGN. [Image: A&E]

Spinoff Talk. ABC is considering a Black-ish spinoff. They’re in the discussion phase right now for a spin-off that would focus on Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) and her life at college. Get all the details at The Hollywood Reporter.

Fancy Bracelet. Witchblade might get another turn on television. The Top Cow comic by writer Marc Silvestri and artist Michael Turner is being eyed by NBC and is in development. The story about Sara Pezzini, a cop turned supernatural being of sorts thanks to a bracelet/artifact known as the Witchblade, was formerly adapted as a TV series on TNT. I’m all for more supernatural series on television, so I hope the project works out. [A.V. Club]

Winchesters R Us. Supernatural returns on January 26, and we have a new trailer to digest. The look at the back half of season 12shows how much the world needs the Winchesters to have their back. It makes me feel weirdly proud of these fictional characters I’ve known so long. And Cass is giving me all the feels with his line about saving the Winchesters. [TVLine]

Casting Update! Syfy’s take on the graphic novel Happy! has found its female lead for the pilot. Lili Mirojnick will play Detective Meredith McCarthy. [The Hollywood Reporter]
