After opening Thursday night, Deadpool is already breaking box office records and getting rave reviews (including one from our own Luke Y. Thompson’s, which you can read here). Regardless of what review(s) you choose to believe, there is always one voice that you can always trust: Betty White. Thankfully America’s sweetheart chimed in on the latest Marvel movie, so if you are on the fence about seeing the Merc with a Mouth in theaters, check out the video above for Betty White’s review.
Ryan Reynold’s The Proposal co-star definitely loved the movie, giving it a rating of four Golden Girls (I am pretty sure I know which scenes got the Blanche portion). She was also kind enough to provide what family demographic is perfect for this film and lets us know how impressed she was with Reynolds’ appearance. APPEARANCE, not performance. She closes it out by exclaiming it is the best picture of the year.
How can anyone argue with Betty White? Many have tried, and many have failed. Batman v Superman? Civil War? It looks like your spandex-clad cinematic competition this year is off to a great start. If Deadpool is any indication, comic book movie fans are in for an awesome 2016.
Deadpool, also starring Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller, is in theaters now.
So what do you think? Do you agree with Betty White’s review? What other films would benefit from her in-depth analysis? Would you like to see the red band version of this review? Let me know on Twitter or be a pal and a confidant in the comments below.
