Since its release last weekend, fans and critics alike have been singing the praises of the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. The film even gained the praises of the most straight-laced hero in the entire Marvel Universe, Captain America. Well, at least from Chris Evans, the actor that plays him.
Wow…..Deadpool was AWESOME! Well done @VancityReynolds #killedit #maximumeffort

After seeing this compliment, Ryan Reynolds was quick to respond with who his allegiance will be this spring during Captain America: Civil War.

That was pretty awesome, seeing the two stars of the two biggest Marvel movies in 2016 forming a strong bond. However, there was one person who didn’t take kindly to this camaraderie: Robert Downey, Jr.
.@VancityReynolds Et tu, D-pool? Gimme a shout when Rogers boots you out for "cussing"!
— Robert Downey Jr (@RobertDowneyJr) February 20, 2016
@RobertDowneyJr @VancityReynolds Bullsh*t!! The cussing was my favorite part! (just don't tell my alter ego….or Kevin Feige….or my mom)
— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) February 21, 2016
I can’t tell if Evans is embracing his vulgar side or backtracking, but what is for certain is that lines have been drawn a few months early. No surprise that it’s Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool in the middle of it all.
Deadpool is in theaters now and Captain America: Civil War opens May 6.
So what do you think? Did Reynolds choose the right side> How do you think Deadpool would react to Civil War? Who would he annoy the most? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
