DEADPOOL # 7 Preview Celebrates 25 Years of Wade Wilson

Twenty-five years ago, Deadpool made his debut in New Mutants # 98 as a villain who was promptly defeated and mailed back to his employer in a box. But this February, Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth is sending out for you!

Deadpool wasn’t always Marvel’s golden boy, but his success as an antihero is undeniable. In the post-Secret Wars era, Deadpool’s popularity within the Marvel Universe mirrors his fandom in reality. Now there’s enough Deadpool merchandise to have made him a very rich man. Deadpool is also an Avenger and the leader of his very own team, the Mercs for Money. That’s right, everything is coming up Deadpool!

Two days before the Deadpool movie swings into theaters, Marvel is celebrating Deadpool’s silver anniversary in style with an oversized 80-page Deadpool # 7. The regular Deadpool creative team of Gerry Duggan and artist Scott Koblish will be contributing a 20-page Deadpool story as the lead feature. Then, the spotlight will fall on the Mercs for Money, a team comprised of Terror, Foolkiller, Slapstick, Massacre, Stingray, Solo, and of course, Wade Wilson himself.
