DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Is Coming to Xbox One

Today marks the fifth anniversary of DC Universe Online, the MMO game originally launched by Sony Online Entertainment on the PC and Playstation 4. But now that SOE is Daybreak Game Company, it’s finally time to bring Xbox One gamers into the fold.

Daybreak has announced that DC Universe Online is coming to Xbox One this spring. Additionally, PC and PS4 DCU Online players will be able to cross platforms and interact with each other by the end of January. But there’s currently no word on whether Xbox One gamers will also be able to cross platforms.

Several upcoming DCU Online stories were also teased, including an episode based on the new drama series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. That adventure will debut next month, with Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Captain Cold, and the Atom in featured roles. The final installment of “Halls of Power” will wrap up Darkseid’s invasion of the Flash’s hometown, Central City, while Superman will be featured in a new storyline alongside Supergirl, Superboy, Lois Lane, and the infamous trio of Kryptonian criminals: Non, Ursa, and Zod. Harley Quinn will also get her own storyline, presumably around the time that Suicide Squad hits theaters.

In terms of gameplay, the developers of DCU Online promised to make it easier to join a league in-game, and they announced that the newest powerset will be Water, which will take its inspiration from Aqualad’s hydrokinesis and Mera’s waterbending abilities.
