By now, you’ve probably watched the new trailer for Suicide Squad a dozen times since it was first released this week. The trailer made it look like an absolute blast, and quickly shot the film to the top of lots of people’s “most anticipated”  lists for the year. Director David Ayer’s take on DC Comics’ bad goods turned kind of/sort of good guys has got everyone talking.
Now the folks over at USA Today have revealed a new series of statues based on six of the film’s main characters, hitting shelves courtesy of DC Collectibles this July and August. Each stands 12 inches tall, and will set you back about $150 dollars a piece. So it’ll cost a bit to assemble Task Force X on your shelf, but, I mean, just look at how cool they are when placed together.
Included in this series are Deadshot (Will Smith), the DCU’s best marksman; Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), our human/crocodile hybrid sideshow freak; Katana (Karen Fukuhara), owner of the deadly soul sword; Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), the Flash villain whose apperance in this movie is sadly preventing him from showing up on the Flash television show; Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), the Joker’s unhinged girlfriend, and finally, the Joker (Jared Leto), who frankly needs no introduction.
Not includedâat least in this first batchâare members Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), The Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), or Scott Eastwood’s character (he’s playing an unknown role that the internet has speculated is really Dick Grayson on an undercover mission for Batman). Also not included is Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. Maybe the folks at DC Collectibles didn’t think anyone would buy a statue of a middle-aged woman in a fierce pantsuit, but I know I would.
