DC Collectibles’ New Deluxe 6″-Scale BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES Batmobile Revealed (Exclusive)

Hey, remember how at Comic-Con, DC Collectibles basically delivered some (pardon the mismatching of different interpretations of the key character here) Holy Bat-Pwnage in the form of a massive, animated-style Batmobile that could seat two figures, had a sliding canopy, featured light-up interiors and rear jets, and generally just made you think to yourself, “I’ve seen the future and it will be…mine!”?

And then you know how you thought, “Well, that’s it. They’ll never make a better animated Batmobile than that”?

Yeahhhhhhh. About that….

It’s true that there wasn’t a lot to improve on the vehicle itself, though the new metallic paint apps certainly are nice. But finding the right figures to sit in it was definitely a quandary which the new deluxe version solves, by providing Batman and Robin figures with cloth capes for driving. Throw in a working Bat-signal, and for $175, you’ve got yourself one hefty collector set that rivals the prices of many fancy imports while being about half the cost.

The Deluxe Batmobile will be available in August wherever larger DC Collectibles items are sold.

Now, when do we get a Batcave playset the size of my bedroom? You may laugh now, readers, but I believe DC are just “brave and bold” enough to try some day.

Is this the toy you deserve, or the toy you need right now? (Trick question: it’s both, of course.)

Aside from the obvious (Batwing), what animated vehicles should DC Collectibles tackle next? Go to Bat below, and signal us your thoughts on the matter.
