David Lynch and Mark Frost Tease TWIN PEAKS Return on Twitter

After years of rumors, then denials, then even more rumors, could David Lynch and Mark Frost’s seminal television series Twin Peaks really be making a comeback? At 11:30 A.M. on Friday October 3rd, (by the way...the exact time that Agent Dale Cooper drove into town on the series) both the Twitter accounts of David Lynch and Mark Frost tweeted the exact same thing:

If one is a follower or fan of either gentleman, then you know neither is known for giving such obvious teases. While it could be something as simple as announcing a new line of Twin Peaks coffee mugs or merchandise, both Lynch and Frost know how much the long suffering Peaks fans have been awaiting news of a revival. It’s not like either of them to be that mean with such a deliberate fake tease towards the fan base. Add to that, the Twitter account of the Twin Peaks Archive had this rumor to add to the mix:

Adding fuel to the fire, earlier this week, when asked about a possible Twin Peaks revival, David Lynch essentially said “that’s a tricky question…you’ll just have to wait and see.”  As Dale Cooper once said on the series “When two separate events occur simultaneously pertaining to the same object of inquiry we must always pay strict attention!” Who knows when we’ll know for sure, but it’s looking more and more likely that the late Laura Palmer’s message to Dale Cooper in the final episode of the series -“I’ll see you again in 25 years”- is really coming to pass.
