Darth Vader Strikes in New STAR WARS REBELS Teaser Trailer

The crew of the Ghost is about to face their ultimate challenge on Star Wars Rebels. Darth Vader is coming.

At the end of Star Wars Rebels Season 1, Ezra (Taylor Gray), Hera (Vanessa Marshall), Zeb (Steven Blum), Sabine (Tiya Sircar), and Chopper successfully rescued Kanan (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) from the Empire. Along the way, the Inquisitor was defeated and Governor Tarkin (Stephen Stanton) was forced to flee from his own Star Destroyer before it blew up in space.

When Star Wars Rebels Season 2 begins with a one-hour TV movie event later this month, the crew of the Ghost will be part of the early stages of the Rebel Alliance. And their first big test will be Darth Vader himself, as he relentlessly pursues the rebels and lures them back to Lothal.

Darth Vader will once again be voiced by James Earl Jones, the man who provided Vader’s voice in the original Star Wars trilogy. In The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Vader was arguably showing mercy towards his son, Luke Skywalker. But Star Wars Rebels will feature Darth Vader at the height his powers and without any remorse at all. The latest Star Wars Rebels trailer teases Vader’s first lightsaber fight with Kanan and Ezra. And neither the master nor the apprentice is a match for the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Star Wars Rebels: The Siege of Lothal will kick off the second season on June 20, 2015. But fans will have to wait until the fall before weekly episodes of Star Wars Rebels resume on Disney XD.

Are you excited to see Darth Vader face-off against Kanan and Ezra? When will Vader finally cross paths with his former apprentice, Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein)? Share your predictions in the comment section below!
