DARK TOWER Teasers, STRANGER THINGS News, and J.K. Rowling Apologizes for Snape

Watch Live:

Welcome to Nerdist News Talks Back, our daily show where Jessica Chobot and a panel of guests discuss the latest in pop culture news. Today we have our resident Whovian and Associate Editor Kyle Anderson, as well as Mothership’s own singing telegram, Amy Vorpahl, to suss out what those Dark Tower teasers might mean, uncover Stranger Things season two’s secrets, and politely ask J.K. Rowling to stop apologizing so much for murdering Harry Potter characters.

Ahead of The Dark Tower‘s first trailer release tomorrow, Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba‘s social media team took to Twitter to roleplay as their characters, The Man in Black and The Gunslinger, and share a few teasers.

Next, we’ve heard some rumors Stranger Things season two will have “more horror in it,” but what could that mean? More monsters, perhaps?

Lastly, in honor of the Battle of Hogwarts’ anniversary, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has taken to Twitter to apologize for killing Snape (to mixed results). While we absolutely appreciate Rowling communicating with the fans, we don’t need her to say sorry for writing the books the way she did. (I mean, there’s a reason why we love them!)

Make sure you tune in later today for an all-new Nerdist News, and come back every weekday at 1pm PST for Nerdist News Talks Back!
