DAREDEVIL Season 3 Trailer Reveals Kingpin’s Evil Plan

After two evocative teasers that were heavy on mood and light on plot specifics, Netflix and Marvel TV have released the final, full trailer for Daredevil’s upcoming third season. This one is filled with plot points—some are even pretty spoilery. So watch the new trailer down below, along with the official season three synopsis, and then we’ll unpack what we just saw.

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But  when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero.

This trailer gives us one doozy of a spoiler. Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. the Kingpin, strikes some kind of plea deal and gets released from prison. And it seems he has one thing on his mind: revenge on the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. We also see Fisk in his signature white suit from the comics, which is a nice touch for fans of the original Marvel Comics.

Fisk is seemingly going to go out of his way to discredit Daredevil in the public eye, and apparently hires someone to impersonate him and commit various crimes. So our faux Daredevil will be wearing the classic red costume, while Matt Murdock will be in his season one black outfit once again. Oh, and we’re getting what looks to be like another epic hallway fight. Can’t have a Marvel Netflix show without one of those each season.

Marvel’s Daredevil season three launches worldwide on Netflix on October 19.
