Thanks to the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado this past weekend, critics had their first look at Steve Jobs, the aptly-titled new Danny Boyle-directed Steve Jobs biopic, and the Michael Fassbender-led film is receiving rave reviews. Boyle has directed countless beloved films over the years, but no matter how many successes he has under his belt, fans are still asking about the long-fabled sequel to cult hit Trainspotting. And why should they stop when ol’ Danny boy keeps dropping hints that the project is in the works?
Well the wait is almost over, as the director confirmed in an interview with Deadline that Trainspotting 2 will be his next film, dependent on the schedule of the four returning leads. Yeah, that’s right! All four leads have agreed to return — at least verbally, we’re assuming.
Join Jessica Chobot for the full scoop and the possible plot details of the hotly-anticipated follow-up, which will be based on another novel by Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh, on today’s Nerdist News.
