Creators of RICK AND MORTY Say to Expect More Continuity this Season

We here at Nerdist love Rick and Morty; you don’t call something “the best sci-fi” show on TV” for nothing. So we were happier than a dying Mr. Meeseeks when we got to speak with co-creators Dan Harmon (of Community fame) and Justin Roiland (voice of Rick and Morty, Lemongrab in Adventure Time), as well as producer Ryan Ridley at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

The team behind the silly and often shockingly deep cartoon discuss the mechanics of the new season (airing this Sunday night on Adult Swim), how to write for a character who has access to every dimension in the multi-verse, and what to do with all the sweat from the Comic-Con floor (no, really, eww). There’s even a special pop-on from comedian Steve Agee!
