If you haven’t already participated in the fancy adult coloring book trend, it’s not too late! In fact, it just got even better than the Enchanted Forest and Secret Garden books that are already available, and you can thank your friends at Crayola.
They’re finally hopping on the phenomenon by introducing Crayola Color Escapes; a collection of four adult coloring kits with black and white illustrations by Claudia Nice, plus a collection of colored pencils, fine-colored markers, or watercolor pencils. The books offer four different themes, all lovely and calming: Geometric, Kaleidoscope, Nature, and Garden.
And that’s not all. If you already have an abundance of colored pencils and markers at home, then you can buy a Crayola coloring book on it’s own for $10. They feature themed illustrations by Terry Runyan, Flora Chang, and other Hallmark artists.
Excuse me while I start to hyperventilate with excitement… okay, it’s okay. I’m okay.Â
For those of us who are really into pencils (that’s me, is it you too? I heard there were others), meaning you churn through them like they’re about to be whisked away forever, then Crayola also has you covered with pencils just for grown-ups. I’m pretty sure this just means there will be more pencils in the pack, and the design will be sophisticated, but hey, I’ll take it.
There’s no word yet on pricing for the Crayola Color Escapes set, but all this good stuff will be available in time for the holidays. So, if you’re feeling a little stressed and want to let out some creative juices, Crayola coloring books are the answer. But listen; you don’t have to label your activity as being “because of stress,” you can just put it under plain old fun–I won’t tell anyone.
