Cozy Up with Nick Offerman in his Yule Log Video

We have no problem saying that we all might be in love with Nick Offerman. His ability to bridge the gap between rustic man, heartthrob, and comedic genius is beyond impressive. Safe to say we’d do anything to spend an evening in his company. Now, with his latest video on his My Tales Of Whiskey YouTube channel–we get to do just that.

The video is in the same vein of loop-able holiday yule log videos in which a television or computer screen can be transformed into a roaring fireplace to give your home that holiday feel. But the bevy of choices out there pale in comparison to what is now the only one we’ll ever need, featuring Offerman silently reflecting for nearly 45 minutes. As one would expect, he’s joined by the only essentials you really need on a cold winter evening–a warm fire, a comfortable chair, a bottle of Lagavulin, and complete silence.

It’s been nearly a year since the last My Tales Of Whiskey video and we hope there are more on the horizon. The videos chronicle various aspects of the scotch whisky industry in a way that’s a mixture of travel show and comedy sketch: it’s hard to tell where Offerman ends and Ron Swanson begins. Our guess is that Offerman was just playing himself all along but didn’t want to use his real name on Parks and Recreation.

This is the part where we ask you what you thought of the the Yule Log video but it’s safe to say it’s one of the best things created this year. Agree with us in the comments below!
