Soon after Han Solo made his grand entrance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he encountered some troubleâyou know, business as usualâwhen Han and Chewbacca’s freighter was boarded by the Guavian Death Gang and Kanjiklub. The Guavian Death Gang enforcers were particularly memorable. The designs were creepy, but there’s more: They have cybernetic augmentation and are injected with chemicals to enhance aggression and speed. Yikes.
Cosplayer Sean thought the look of the characters was interesting, and he hadn’t seen them cosplayed yet, so he decided to create a Guavian Death Gang enforcer costume. He spent about four months completing the project. He modeled and then 3D printed the hardware aspects of the suitâthe helmet, the buckle on the utility harness, and the gauntlets. He used EVA foam and craft foam to construct the shoulder armor and shin guards. The result is something that would intimidate anyone:
