When I come across new cosplayers, the first thing I do is head to wherever they showcase their costumes (usually Facebook) and flip through their portfolios to answer a few questions. Which characters have they cosplayed as? Do they favor making armor over sewing dresses? Do they like to style wigs? I enjoy seeing more about the individual tastes and styles of makers, but I often find cosplayers are a versatile bunch who do it all.
Case in point: Barbie, a.k.a. Asgard Barbie Cosplay. Below, she sports a badass Xena: Warrior Princess costume with the leather skirt and armor, but has also made a Disney princess costume, complete with an elegant gown. In short, she’s one talented lady.
Daenerys!
Can you take more epic lady cosplay? I hope so because there are more fierce costumes in the gallery below. You’ll find some DC Comics love, Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones, Giselle from Enchanted, and more. Then, you can hop on over to social media and follow Asgard Barbie Cosplay on Instagram and Facebook to see all the things she makes.
Do you cosplay, or are you a cosplay photographer? Then I would like to feature your work in an upcoming Cosplay Friday. Submissions are funâand so easy! You can get photos to me by dropping links in the comments, by sending images to me on Twitter, by tagging or mentioning me on Instagram, or emailing me at alratcliffe at yahoo dot com. I suppose you could send a raven or an owl, too. If you’re not the photographer, remember to tell me who is so I can spread the credit love around.
