Cosplay is a magical thing. You can transform yourself into someone else entirely and forget your cares for a few hours or for the length of a convention. Like Anna Berten, who regularly fashions herself into quite the Disney princess. Her hard work on all aspects of her costumes—the actual costume, the wigs, and the makeup—means she looks a startling amount like the characters she cosplays. She’s dressed as multiple versions of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Merida from Brave, and Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. I decided to highlight a few of her ensembles in this week’s Cosplay Friday.
What I would give to spend an afternoon playing dress up in her closet. Can I invite myself over?
