Cosplayers are the best. This isn’t news to most of you. I’m continually impressed with how quickly they make props or even full costumes based only on concept art or a single promotional still. Case in point: Stony Props started working on a chrome trooper helmet shortly after the second teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released at Celebration. Jim McCrea sculpted the helmet and Jacob Morin modeled it. They shared photos of their take on the helmet we now know is worn by Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma just a couple of weeks later. That kind of enthusiasm floors me.
