“Community” Walk-On Role Being Auctioned For Charity

Once again, Community is auctioning off a walk-on role on the show for charity, and they’re taking bids for it right this very second, if you’re reading this before September 22, 2011 at noon Pacific time.

This year, the auction is raising money for the Cal State Fullerton chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA), which in turn will use the money for two on-campus centers, the Cal State Fullerton Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic and the Center for Children Who Stutter. The clinic helps people with hearing and speech problems and helps train clinicians, and the center offers professional services for kids who stutter but can’t afford treatment. So it’s a great cause.

But, hey, it’s also a walk-on on one of your favorite shows, so there’s that, too. You’d be able to bring a plus-one, and they say you’ll meet the cast. The shooting will be sometime during this season’s schedule, October 2011 through February 2012. There are details and qualifications that you need to read first, which you can find at the auction page at eBay; you’ll find that by clicking here, where you can also bid.

So, check it out, read through all the fine print, and, if it looks good to you and you have the cash, bid. You know you want to.
