Comedy Playlist: Ben Stiller Gets Physical, The Comedy of Seaton Smith, And Some Diving Phobia

I wonder how much video news you were bombarded with this week. Clearly not enough! Today I offer up sights and sounds from The Tonight Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers and UCB Comedy. You’ll laugh yourself silly with a recap of Ben Stiller’s Zoolander 2 stunt at fashion week in Paris, the engaging stand-up comedian of Seaton Smith (Mulaney), and a thing we don’t usually see, an action hero that can’t dive. Enjoy!

Perhaps one of the great promotional feats of the month, possibly the year (it’s early), was the appearance of Derek Zoolander and Hansel at Paris Fashion Week. Fallon spoke to Ben Stiller about the epic event, as well as his television adventures with Bear Grylls. It’s pretty astounding the movie star survived an attempt at the navy seal technique, jumaring. Terrifying!

Seaton Smith made a stellar appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. The young comedian made comedy gold out of subject matter like black Republicans, his first TV show paycheck, the gay pride parade, and the lack of fun at the historic civil rights march. Kudos, Seaton!

And just when you thought your comedy palate was full, I leave you with a video that “tests the water” with regards to action hero stunts. UCB Comedy presents LA Digital’s version of an action hero movie shoot where the star (played by John Milhiser) has some diving fears. Sometimes it takes a village to get that perfect shot. You’ll be impressed by Betsy Sodaro’s portrayal of the action hero’s nemesis who doesn’t seem to hold back her clear frustation of the shoot gone bad. Hilarious!

Do leave comments about this winning playlist all weekend along. Stay safe, kids!
