Comedy Playlist: ARCHER’s H. Jon Benjamin, Kings of Powerpoint, and Fred Armisen’s ‘Fred Talks’

Today’s Comedy Playlist should be make your hump day a whole lot funnier. Not only are you half-way to the weekend, but you get to peruse fresh new vids with your favorite and soon to be dearest entertainers. In today’s edition, we hear H. Jon Benjamin demonstrate a British accent. We also introduce you to TWO “Kings of Powerpoint” that have strong opinions about numbers. We also find out why Fred Armisen was recently moved to tears on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Prepare those smile muscles!

So it turns out that the star of the animated FX series Archer gets a bit more flustered than the character he voices on TV. On CONAN we learned that Jon had a bit of a freak out when he found out he would be voicing the character of a spy. The actor was most concerned he would have to use his best British voice because, of course, all spies are British. Duh. Benjamin also shares a story about how the “Danger Zone” catchphrase can be misconstrued when interacting with young fans.

Today the folks at Above Average unleashed a gem of video that features Dru Johnston and Don Fanelli as masters of the Powerpoint presentation. The “Kings of Powerpoint” have only one message to convey in their lecture: 1 is bigger than 2. Simple enough, right? Methinks their mathematics are a bit off.

Our third playlist selection features the host and band leader of Late Night with Seth Meyers. Fans of the show know Seth and Fred Armisen like to have a little chat when Fred’s not away making Portlandia. On this particular “Fred Talk,” Seth confronts Fred about his massive need for attention. It seems Armisen was inpired by Nancy Pelosi’s show of emotions over Bibi’s recent political speech. We learn that Fred himself was moved to tears over the price of high quality prosethetic hunchback humps. Ha! Seth is then motivated to get to the bottom of this much less world shattering problem. Enjoy!
