Comedy Central Renews BROAD CITY for Season 2

Buzz has come fast and in droves for Comedy Central’s latest, greatest scripted series Broad City, created by Ilana Glazer & Abbi Jacobson and executive produced by Amy Poehler. The acclaim has paired quite well with the show’s strong ratings, especially for a series in its first season at Comedy Central, making the decision to pick up the show for a second season an easy one.

Poehler took it upon herself to announce the season 2 pick up while being the very first guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers:

Hopefully, Broad City will catch up to the point where Abby and Ilana can make their own announcement while invited on to a late night talk show. Certainly, this bodes well for the series, and is a sign of more good things to come for Glazer and Jacobson.

In the meantime, listen to them on The Nerdist podcast here, watch their episode of @midnight, and catch their show on Comedy Central on Wedednesdays at 10:30 PM.
