Disney’s Maleficent is set to sweep into theaters in a few weeks, but we don’t know a ton about the film yet. Sure, we have a synopsis and we know we’ll be seeing another side of Maleficent’s story, but compared to the deluge of information we’ve received for films like X-Men: Days of Future Past, we’re in the dark. Though surprises are nice, I like learning more, and these newly revealed character posters for Maleficent scratch that itch.

The images shine the spotlight on “the characters who will be most important to the film’s mysterious story.” The striking posters feature Maleficent, Princess Aurora, Diaval (Maleficent’s servant), King Stefan, and The Pixies. Notably absent is Prince Phillip. Interesting.
