Collage Made From Classic BATMAN Comic Book Art

As part of the ongoing celebration of Batman‘s 75th Anniversary celebration, French Paper Art Club, together with Geek Art, are presenting a collection of art prints featuring the Caped Crusader in his many various incarnations. These are all officially licensed limited edition prints that each come with a certificate of authenticity.

Maybe the coolest of them all is a Batman print which was created by an artist that goes by the name of Mr. Garcin, who used several pieces of Batman related comic book art from the late 1930’s to the present day to create a portrait of the The Dark Knight’s face. Among the many artists used to make of the face of Batman (which is clearly in the style of the legendary Neal Adams) are Frank Miller, Jim Aparo, Mike Grell, and, of course, Batman’s co-creator Bob Kane. If you look carefully enough, you’ll probably find your favorite Batman artist among in there somewhere.

Among the other Batman prints created for this series are one called “Batman on Gargoyle”, by Usagi Yojimbo artist Stan Sakai, a tribute to the campy 1960’s era adventures called “Batman: The Silver Age” by Dave Perillo, and a Golden Age inspired piece from artist Michael Cho simply called “Batman and Robin.” And for the more morbid Bat-fan out there, there’s a piece called “Thomas and Martha Wayne”, which simply has Bruce Wayne and Alfred visiting his parent’s mausoleum on a rainy day (when isn’t it raining when Bruce visits his parent’s grave?)

You can buy a 13′ x 19′ print of Mr. Garcin’s collage, simply titled “Batman”, as well as other prints at this link.  But you might want to not lag on this one, because many other prints in this collection are already sold out.
